The Pennsylvania Floral Industry Association (PFIA)
is a professional, nonprofit, trade and educational
association that represents the floriculture and
horticulture industry as well as allied trade industries
throughout Pennsylvania. PFIA represents growers, retail
florists, and allied trades best interest to other
businesses and political entities and serves as a medium to
maintain a favorable public image of the floral industry.
What Does PFIA Offer You?
Education & Workshops
PFIA educates its members via seminars,
scholarships, nite-lighters and hands-on design seminars in
all regions of the state. PFIA also educates the public
about the benefits of using flowers and plants through
forums such as the Farm Show, regional flower shows and news
releases. Workshops and seminars are offered regionally and
at a discounted rate to PFIA members.
Debt Collection Service
PFIA offers its members a collection service
for unpaid debts through the I.C. Systems Company. A credit
and collection manual is also available to assist in
developing your credit and collections policy.
Bulletin & PFIA
Website Exposure
PFIA
publishes a bi-annual bulletin, A Growing Interest, which is
filled with up-to-date information for growers and retailers
including technical articles, legislative information,
upcoming events and regional events. The Bulletin also
provides you with research information pertinent to your
business and vital information for the association. The PFIA
website provides members with research and education
articles, upcoming events, links to other industry sites,
and more.
Membership
Directory
PFIA
provides a membership directory with lists all the florists
and growers in Pennsylvania that are members of the
association. The directory is available online.
Farm Show Exposure
PFIA
participates in the Pennsylvania Farm Show each year so that
Pennsylvania florists may gain exposure.
Advertising
discounts
As a member
of PFIA, discounted advertising opportunities are available.
Research
PFIA
supports research that benefits the floral industry through
funding. Research updates are given in each PFIA newsletter,
as well as on the PFIA website.

Credits & Assistance
Pesticide
credits and assistance are available at the Interiorscape
Technician event.
Business to
Business Networking Opportunities
As an
association, PFIA offers a multitude of networking
opportunities. All members have the opportunity to
participate in PFIA events, the member forum located on the
PFIA website, membership committees and many more! These
opportunities give members the chance to network and learn
from floral colleagues.
