The Pennsylvania Floral Industry Association
Announces Floral Design Workshops
The Pennsylvania Floral Industry Association
(PFIA) has scheduled two floral design workshops on “Bridal
Tips and Tricks” that are open to both members and
non-members of the organization. The September sessions,
co-sponsored by FTD, are designed to offer professionals
in the floral industry creative insight into current market
trends.
The events, on September 13 at Cleveland
Plant and Flower Company in Erie, PA, and on September
14 at Gallagher’s
Floral Supply in Plains, PA, will start at 5:30 pm with
a one-hour reception and open house of the host facility.
The workshops from 6:30 to 8:00 pm feature noted Pennsylvania
florists who will share their knowledge of what is popular
in today’s market in colors, styles, trends, flowers
and techniques used by professional designers.
Dan Vaughn, proprietor and head designer for Colonial
Florist and Gift Shop in Mt. Union and for Dan Vaughn Event
Design in State College, will conduct the September 13
class. Designer Colleen Kelly of the House of Flowers in
Forest City will share her expertise at the session on
September 14.
